Horror games have come a long way in the 16 years since its debut, and Dark Descent might seem quaint or unsophisticated now, but when it was new it was awful. It was such a traumatizing experience that by the time I was into the final stretch I was no longer scared, because my entire psyche had been absolutely shattered. It no longer mattered what happened, because my soul was blackened and numb, and I was ready to die.Anyway, 10/10, strongly recommend.
